Middleweight champion Robert Whittaker Out of UFC 234

With just hours to go until the kickoff of UFC 234, middleweight champion Robert Whittaker has been forced out of tonight’s fight against Kelvin Gastelum.

Whittaker complained of pain in his abdomen late last night, and was taken to a local hospital where he was diagnosed with a hernia and is set to undergo surgery on Sunday, according to UFC President Dana White.

Now, a non-title middleweight bout between Israel Adesanya (15-0) and Anderson Silva (34-8) will headline UFC 234.
