Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov seem to be on a path to step into the octagon now that McGregor’s court case has been resolved.
McGregor finally put the incident from April behind him, when the former two-division UFC champion attacked a bus holding red corner fighters including Nurmagomedov during UFC 223 media day.
During the melee, McGregor threw a dolly, which ended up shattering glass on the bus window, injuring Michael Chiesa who ended up being pulled from the card as result.
That attack was the result of a confrontation between and Nurmagomedov, with his group, and McGregor’s teammate Artem Lobov in a New York City Hotel.
McGregor issued the following:
“I just want to say I’m thankful to the DA and the judge for allowing me to move forward. I want to say to my friends, my family, my fans, thank you for the support. Thank you.”
Nurmagomedov stated the following:
“Glad that he stayed out of jail, because I wouldn’t be able to punish him in that case. Now he needs to bring his Irish team to MSG in November and finish our business.”
