As of now, the failed weigh-in attempt puts the anticipated main event into jeopardy, as confirmation from Whittaker’s fight camp on whether or not he will move forward with the bout has yet to be released.

This is not Romero’s first failed attempt during a title fight. He weighed in at 188 pounds in what was to be an interim middleweight championship bout with Luke Rockhold at UFC 221.
