Conor McGregor Officially Stripped Of UFC Title

Conor McGregor has been officially stripped of the UFC lightweight title in the aftermath of an incident that took place at the UFC 223 media day.

UFC President Dana White made the announcement at the UFC 223 post-fight press conference, announcing that Khabib Nurmagomedov is now the undisputed lightweight champion.

McGregor made headlines when he showed up, unannounced, at the UFC 223 press event, threw a hand truck through the window of a bus carrying a number of fighters, which left fighters Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg injured from the broken glass.

According to the New York Post, McGregor faces charges of “felony criminal mischief and misdemeanor counts of assault, attempted assault, menacing and reckless endangerment”.
