Lars Sullivan defeated Kassius Ohno
This was a great opening match. Hard-hitting and fast paced, both of these big guys displayed their athletic ability and it was entertaining from start to finish. The ending made sense as Lars Sullivan is still undefeated in NXT.

Aleister Black defeated Velveteen Dream
Personally, I haven’t seen Velveteen Dream fight before, but I must say that I was very impressed by his performance. These two put on a great match and was one of the best matches of the night. It’ll be interesting to see where this goes for each superstars, but either way, these two have the potential to put on great matches throughout their career.

Ember Moon defeated Peyton Royce, Nikki Cross, and Kairi Sane to win the Vacant NXT Women’s Championship
This was a great match to show what the women’s division is going to look like for a future without Asuka. Ember Moon had proven herself that she was one of the top women in NXT for her bouts earlier in the year against Asuka and she deserved to have the time. Overall, great match and the future looks bright for this division.

Andrade Almas defeated Drew McIntyre (c) to become the New NXT Champion
This definitely was a shocker. There is speculation that McIntyre seriously hurt either his elbow or bicep near the end of the match, which is why the finish happened, but you never know whats really going on behind the scenes. With that being said, these two were still able to put on a good match and it will be unique to see how they handle this title change.

Undisputed Era defeated the Authors of Pain and Sanity to win WarGames
This was the match of the night and it was wild from start to finish. The rules were a little different this time for this match, but they still made sense. Crazy use of the double ring and a slam from the top of the cage on top of all the competitors was all I had to see ti say that this was one of the most entertaining matches I have seen. Great job all around.
This was a great from start to finish. I’d have to say that this was one of the best shows of the year for not only NXT, but WWE too. This makes the future look bright for the whole industry and it will be very interesting to see where this goes.
