When it comes to winding down his legendary career, Manny Pacquiao doesn’t seem to winding down anything, and instead, is eyeing a big fight later this year, instead of a fight with Terence Crawford.
Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum spoke about Pacquiao’s plans while promoting the Crawford vs Jeff Horn this week in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao returns to action on July 15th when he takes on big hitting Argentinian fighter Lucas Matthysse, but he already has his eyes set on his next fight.
“He has absolutely no interest in fighting Crawford” Arum said during an appearance on Sirius XM Radio (h/t Boxing News & Views). “He told me that himself. The guy he’s looking to fight is Lomachenko at 135lbs he says, if he can get down to 135lbs.”
First thing is first though, Pacquiao must get through his next fight and in good style.”
Lomachenko won’t be available to fight until November or December this year as he recovers from surgery.
